I know Smokey and Pebbles told you all about their St. Patrick’s Day birthdays last week but I am here to tell you, it’s MY birthday today, March 24, 2009! It is hard to believe that I am already three years old. I was such a tiny, weak little baby that there was serious thought I would not make it through my first weeks on this green earth. My mommy had distemper and she and many other cats in our pride died within a few weeks of my birth. Smokey and Pebbles’ mom took me in and nursed me for a few weeks until we all had to leave the home where we were born. That’s when I came to live with Bob, Maxine and Andrea.

I am big, orange, and friendly. They call me their autistic cat because I don’t look at the world the way most cats do and it takes me a long time to learn things so they have to be patient with me. My eyes and bladder are kinda weak and, until recently, I didn’t like heights because I have poor balance. My family says I am a gentle giant. But hey, we can’t all be super smart and hyper-active like Buzz, or determined and creative like Pebbles, laid back like Smokey, shy like Princess, and beautiful like faithful old Gracie. We all have our place and I am glad that God made me just as I am!

I love Coby, who "mothered" me when I came here. To this day he faithfully washes my ears and cleans my watery eyes that get gunked up all the time. Guess what, I am the ONLY cat whom Sandi will allow to sleep with her. I follow her everywhere. Maybe because she and I are the same colour, but I have a special bond with Sandi.

Maxine created a brand new kitty toileting system yesterday just for me for my birthday present! I haven’t used it yet but, once I get accustomed to it, I figure I’ll try it out. I hate, with a passion, having to share a toileting station with the others. So, I’ll let you know how this new design works. You should read on our "Favourite Products" page all about the Litter Kwitter system and the the Richell Cat Potty Litter Box. Sometimes I use the Cat Potty. We actually have two other systems we also use and someone will tell you all about them some day.
