Is it “eese” or “ooses”?
Mrs. Noah has been taking a course online and one of her fellow students enjoys using words that are not always in common use. For instance, did you know that somewhere along the line you have been guilty of a peccant? And no, this has nothing to do with being guilty of taking a second piece of pecan pie! I am reasonably sure peccanting is not something I need to be concerned about but, some days Mrs. Noah wonders about that with regard to some of the other four legged Ark dwellers here.
Today Mrs. Noah had a chuckle over a “funny” she received and so I thought I would include it here. She has been swamped with homework lately and not had time to communicate with the greater world beyond her desk so here I am, stepping up to the plate for her before she falls asleep at the keyboard. It seemed appropriate since Mrs. Noah feels like she is running a zoo here in the Ark we call home.
Enjoy.

Zookeeper’s Dilemma
A zookeeper wanted to get some extra animals for his zoo, so he decided to compose a letter. The only problem was that he didn’t know the plural of "mongoose."
He started the letter: "To whom it may concern, I need two mongeese."
No, that wouldn’t work, so he tried again: "To whom it may concern, I need two mongooses." Is that right?
Finally, he got an idea: "To whom it may concern, I need a mongoose, and while you’re at it, send me another one."
*Thanks to Pastor Tim for this joke!*

As the saying goes – “There’s more than one way to skin a cat!”
Oh dear, I can’t believe I SAID that!!! What I meant to say was, creativity can solve most any problem. It’s all in the way you look at it!
Until next time,
Gracie (I am Mrs. Noah’s black panther and almost constant companion)
