Smokey

Hi! My name is Smokey. Is it prideful to say I am handsome? Actually, I am a humble fellow but my striking, long black hair with just a touch of white on my chest is really quite handsome. Â

It is really something how siblings can be so very different but still all love each other. We (that’s my sister Pebbles, me, and Chester) were all rescued out of terrible conditions, along with other siblings whom I can’t remember now because they went to other homes when they were quite young.   My birth mom nursed Chester because his mom had died and so Chester is really like our brother. Poor Chester is a little slow mentally but hey, he’s my brother in heart, so don’t tell him I told you that! Anyways, might have our squabbles some days, but we all have our part to play in this world and we all love each other in our own quirky ways.

When we were put up for adoption and nobody asked for us, Coby (the dog) was thrilled because he and I had really bonded. In fact, I think I might have made a wonderful dog. I wanted to be just like Coby so I followed him everywhere.  To be honest, I still follow him and sleep with him. Certainly, Coby made an excellent kitty mommy! It really is confusing to say the least to keep it all straight. Anyway, although I started out to be quite small, I have grown in size and Coby taught me to be a very compassionate feline. I love to be petted and to cuddle with Coby and with Andrea. To this day cuddling reminds me of the hours I spent as a kitten being carried around in Andrea’s big pockets – all warm, snuggly and protected. No more worrying about a mother raccoon chasing me down as a candidate for her next meal!

My caregivers are very health conscious and looked for cost effective ways to keep us healthy on a low budget. Chester and I almost lost our eyesight because of the terrible eye infections we had as kittens. In fact, neither of us see as clearly as we would like, but we get along in life OK. To keep our eyesight, they used colloidal silver and Miracle II Neutralizer and Miracle II Neutralizer Gel. They bathed our eyes with the silver and the Miracle II Neutralizer and then they would put the Miracle II Neautralizer Gel in our eyes. It took time but they finally got the eyes cleaned up. Oh yes, they also squirted colloidal silver down our throats. To this day, we get colloidal silver in our water or squirted into our mouths to keep us healthy. Colloidal silver is a natural anti-bacterial product that is wonderful for people and for animals. You can’t purchase Miracle II in Canada but you can get it in the United States. If you want some and you live in the U.S., just let us know and we can order it for you.
